Archbishop Brunett Celebrates Mass at Church of the Visitation
On March 14, 2004, Archbishop Alex Brunett was greeted with the sounds of the triumphant
Visitation Choir singing the Lord's praises. He presided over the 8:30 a.m. Mass to celebrate
the Young Ladies Institute (YLI) Tahoma Institute #67. The YLI raised $1,300.00 in support of the
semenarians and presented the Archbishop with a check for that amount at breakfast after Mass.
The Archbishop received a nice round of applause to thank him for visiting and
Fr. Tom Williams received a standing applause when the Archbishop commended him for taking on the
repsonsiblity of being Visitation Church's pastor when he could easily have retired.
Visitation was also fortunate to have Decon Mike Teskey there to be part of the ceremony.
Decon Mike is a Visitation member and was ordained by Archbishop Brunett. Decon Mike is assigned to Holy Rosary
church in Tacoma, Washington.
Visitation Choir (below) sounded better than ever with a full boat of singers for this
special Mass with Archbishop Brunett. Under the direction of Kathy McSperitt, Visitation is very
blessed to have such a wonderful director and choir that really brings the liturgy to life.
