As of noon on Thursday, April 19th, Father Wagner remains at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. While Father has shown some potential signs of improvement, he is still in the Critical Care Unit. His family asks for us to continue hoping and praying for a miracle. We will continue holding prayer vigils at 7pm every evening alternating between Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes, ending on April 24th. The prayer vigil will be at Visitation parish tonight, on April 21st, and on the 23rd. The prayer vigil will be at Holy Rosary on April 20th, 22nd, and the 24th. After the 24th, each parish will individually plan prayer gatherings to pray for Father Wagner. Visitation Parish will begin holding a Holy Hour every evening between 7pm and 8pm, beginning Wednesday, April 25th. Please see this weekend's bulletin insert for more information. This will be the last daily update on our website. We will not publish any further updates here unless there is a significant change to Father's condition. As of noon on Monday, April 16th, Father Wagner remains at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Father's condition slightly worsened over the weekend. We will continue holding prayer vigils at 7pm every evening alternating between Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. The prayer vigil will be at Holy Rosary parish tonight. Please continue to pray for Father and his family, and for both parish communities. Thank you to everyone who has brought food to the Rectory for Father's family. We ask that people refrain from bringing more food for the next couple of days. We have plenty. As of noon on Friday, April 13th, Father Wagner remains at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Father is in stable condition with no change. We will continue holding prayer vigils at 7pm every evening alternating between Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. The prayer vigil will be led by Father Wichert tonight (Friday, April 13th) at Visitation parish. We will not be updating the website over the weekend unless there is a significant change in Father's condition. Please continue to pray for Father and his family, and for both parish communities. As of noon on Thursday, April 12th, Father Wagner remains on life support at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Father is in grave condition and is not expected to recover. His family is currently with him. The hospital is requesting no phone calls and no visitors (outside of immediate family and clergy and archdiocesan staff). Please pray for Father and his family during this time. Please pray for both Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. We will be holding prayer vigils at 7pm every evening alternating between Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. The vigil will be at Holy Rosary parish tonight. On the morning of Tuesday, April 10th, after giving the final blessing during Mass at Visitation Parish, Father Michael Wagner suffered an apparent burst cerebral aneurysm. Father was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Father is in grave condition and is not expected to recover. His family is either in Tacoma or still traveling to be with him. The hospital is requesting no phone calls and no visitors (outside of immediate family and clergy and archdiocesan staff). Please pray for Father and his family during this time. Please pray for both Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. We will be holding prayer vigils at 7pm every evening alternating between Holy Rosary and Visitation parishes. The vigil was at Holy Rosary on the 10th and will be at Visitation on the 11th (and then alternating every day). Please check the parish website or call the parish office for additional updates.

Please pray for our Priest Administrator, Rev. Michael Wagner. He collapsed during the celebration of the holy sacrifice of the Mass this morning and has been admitted to the hospital. We have been asked to tell you that Father is not receiving visitors at this time. We will update this page as we can. Any additional information is dependent on the wishes of the family and the Vicar for Clergy. This evening (Tuesday, April 10th) there will be a vigil at Holy Rosary Parish, 424 South 30th Street, Tacoma, WA 98402, beginning at 7pm. More information to follow.
