This is a transitional housing program of Catholic Community Services. Phoenix Housing Network serves homeless families with children who are capable and motivated to participate in a mandatory-planning program leading to permanent housing and self-efficiency. It is a coalition of area faith communities, schools and social groups uniting their efforts to provide shelter, meals, transportation and compassion. Visitation hosts families three times a year for a week at a time. We are always in need of volunteers who will act as overnight and dinner hosts, people to set up and take down the furnishings. And donations of food and money, maintain linen laundry during the week and at the end of the week.

We are physically in the Rectory on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-12pm, at which time we can interview people and may write vouchers for the needy for clothing and household items. When St. Vincent De Paul (SVDP) Thrift store has furniture available, we may write vouchers for those items as well. It is required they have their own means to transport the items as SVDP does not have delivery. Regarding assisting with rents and utilities: We help people who are first of all, our parishioners, or live within our Parish boundaries. The applicant must have received a "3 day pay or vacate" or a disconnect notice on their utilities. If we can't financially help them we do give them other resources to try, at least it's hope. Our utility and rental outreach number is 253-472-7285, Monday through Friday. Please leave a message and we will call back as soon as possible. Hours are 10am-3pm. We do need volunteers who are available on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 10am-12pm, and we always need items dropped off at SVDP for us to handle peoples' needs. Thank you.
