Sleep is beautiful, soothing and healing, when it comes at the right time. Sleep can also be embarrassing. Some sleep through class, meetings or during concerts. They mean well, but they risk missing out on many important moments in life.
Others sleep through life in other ways, by being unaware of political issues, unconcerned of the needs of the less fortune, aloof to needs in relationships or oblivious to the gifts given by God.
Through baptism we have been awakened from our sleep, through the quenching waters our God offers us. Christ is our light. The light that allows us to shine, no matter the darkness that befalls us.
Throughout all of Lent, let us rise from sleep and live in the light of eternal hope.

Something to consider...
Are you aware of all the resources for information that Visitation offers? Have you visited the Parish website? Do you know all the ministries supported? Do you know the names of the homebound, the elect, candidates, or the children studying to receive their first Eucharist?
The Parish library located in the Collier Center has a good selection of reading, information and study materials that are accessible to all. Did you know that there are information packets on hand, for all interested in Catholic education for their children, grandchildren, family or friends?
So much is available to you. All you need to do is ask. Challenge yourself to learn something new, volunteer your time and LIVE the word of God.
